About

welcome

Hi, I’m Peggy!

rooted in grace.
designed with simplicity.
full of encouragement.

I’m a busy mom who’s learned simple things build lasting rhythms. Complicated doesn’t always mean better. I create faith-based tools, share practical resources, and offer uplifting encouragement with one goal in mind. To help you stay grounded in your faith and nurture healthy homes and hearts.

my story

This was never the plan

I’m an introverted extrovert who appreciates clutter-free rooms and decorating with rusty antiques. I actually find organizing fun, like to dig in and learn new things, don’t mind getting dirty, and love Jesus, my husband, and kiddos.

I never expected my mommy outlet to go anywhere, but over the years this blog has slowly shifted from creative DIY expressions to sharing God’s faith-filled impressions. His vision has always proven better than anything I could have imagined.

What matters here

The Values Behind What I Share

Rooted in Grace

I don’t get it right everyday. The good news is God’s grace never runs out. My tangled, broken stories can still be used for His glory, and His grace is what helps me get back up and try again.

Intentional Living

Less is more. The more we simplify life, the fuller it feels. Letting go of complicated systems, living in excess, and overfilled schedules makes room for what really matters.

Created with Purpose

Capturing God’s creation, designing faith-based tools, sharing resources, writing devotions, all of it is created to help draw others into a deeper relationship with Him.

Better Together

Faith isn’t meant to be lived out alone. We gain strength through fellowship and find comfort in knowing others are walking a similar path. Encouraging each other lifts everyone up.

Over the years, we’ve had to be more intentional about what we bring into our home.

Life is busy and the list of responsibilities we carry never seems to get shorter. If the thought of carving out time to research and read reviews on cleaning supplies, supplements, personal care items, and faith-based resources feels overwhelming, I get it.

We’ve learned a lot over the years while navigating food and environmental sensitivities. Not everything is created equal. I’ve put together a Resource page with lists and links to what we personally use in our home. Everything shared aligns with our family’s values, so you can browse with confidence knowing the hard work has already been done.

The Journey

Moments That Shaped This Space

2012

We Got Hitched

After years of dating, much of it spent traveling for road racing, building race cars, and offering track support (mostly Jason on the last two), we officially said “I do.” Neither of us had any idea how much life would change in the years ahead.

2014

Our Health Journey Begins

Our first little bundle arrived full of sass and sweet baby smells. After several long months of trying to console a constantly crying baby, we learned Q wasn’t just colicky, but dealing with sensitivities. That season marked the start of a major shift in how we approached food and health at home.

2016

A Year-Long Health Protocol

We thought our health was under control until our next little peanut arrived right into daddy’s arms. Cue the homebirth jokes. When H started having digestive issues too, we dug deeper. That led us to the GAPS protocol, which we followed for a year. It was life changing.

2017

Building Barns & Blogs

With two littles under three, it somehow made sense to start raising cattle and try blogging. (Insert eye roll.) The year flew by in a flurry of fencing, building a barn, and squeezing in a few DIY projects.

2019

Starting Our Homestead

Just when we were finding our groove with nutrition and dabbling in homeschool, the opportunity to purchase the house next to the land we farmed came up. We placed it in God’s hands, and five months later, we moved in.

2021

That Homebirth? It Happened!

The surprise addition to our family, Miss R, is full of personality. It never ceases to amaze me how God knows what we need before we do. Considered high-risk, this pregnancy taught me a lot about trusting Him—and learning to trust my own body too.

Stepping Into Creativity

God tested my faith this year. With house needs, an unplanned blog break, and my husband’s injury, I was stretched thin but reminded that God refines us in those moments. With renewed focus, I began selling my photography and designing printables to help others.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Cor. 12:9

Off the Clock

A Few Fun Things About Me

Old-Fashioned Gal

I love paper and pen. Even though typing is faster (and more legible), my thoughts and lists always start on paper. I print everything too. There’s something soothing about filing papers and knowing I have what I need, even without the internet.

Peggy of All Trades

Over the years I’ve worked in human resources, accounting, and estate planning, raced cars, enjoyed Crossfit, become a homesteader, and started homeschooling. I’ve stopped asking “What’s next?” and just hang on for the ride.

Book Lover

I’m often guilty of reading more than one book at a time. The smell of fresh pages and the crack of a new spine make me smile every time. I’ve been this way as long as I can remember. Keep an eye out for helpful recommendations along the way.

A quick glimpse of

Life on the Homestead

Our days revolve around spirited kiddos, an obnoxiously loud German Shepherd, roughly thirty cattle, and a smattering of chickens and ducks. The 130-plus-year-old farmhouse adds charm, fantastic views, and a list of projects all its own.

You’ll find too many projects going on at once, dog hair on the floor, dirty farm and shop clothes piled up, and kids running around laughing.

Even with all the mess and noise, we enjoy simple routines: plenty of books to read, time outside, and just being together on the farm. Together we dream, grow, teach, and figure out which overly optimistic idea to tackle next.

I wouldn’t change it for the world.
